OUR SHIPMENT / PAYMENT TERMS

We ship saddles anywhere in the USA by United Parcel Service (UPS).This is our preferred carrier. Shipments out of the USA can many times be accomplished by UPS or Emery Air. International shipments must be arranged on an individual basis.

Our payment terms are strict. We must have the money before shipment. For your convenience, we take four  major credit cards (Mastercard, Visa,Discover, and American Express). This is our preferred method of payment. Saddles can be shipped C.O.D. for cash payment only (USA shipments only).  Payment by check can be done (USA shipments only) but the saddle must be held at our shop until the check clears our bank (about 10 days).Then it will be promptly shipped.
We do accept checks (USA only) for deposits on custom ordered saddles, but the remaining balance due must be paid according to the above terms.
All International sales (including Canada) must be pre-paid by wire transfer of funds from bank to bank(no credit cards accepted unless we know you well). Freight charges must be paid in advance also.

Custom Ordering Saddles
Most of the saddles shown on our website are available and in stock unless noted to already be sold. We also sell saddles by custom order.  Different features of the saddle can be customized to suit your needs. There is a price list below for calculating the costs of the many different customizations that are common.
Ordering is best done by telephone, but can be done by email or snail mail. To order a custom-made saddle you need to have in mind the different specifications like type of saddle, tree style, seat length, fender length, padded seat or not, type of rigging, cantle height, cinchas, stirrups, etc. Then we must put this into a written order form and after you receive it you must send us a $750.00 deposit to confirm  the order. The balance of the price is due upon completion of the saddle according to the terms below.
Full size saddle:  (Base price - $3150.00)           Barrel or youth saddle: (Base price– $2,500.00)

A Note About Trade -Ins
We much prefer to sell saddles outright for money, but we will consider a used saddle for trade in value toward the purchase of a new saddle.  Generally, you as the owner can sell it for more than we can allow you (valuation) because our profit is tied up in the used saddle until we are able to sell it. For that reason the value we can allow must be discounted some in order for us to re-sell it easily

These two brands are easier for us to re-sell, since the name belongs to us.

Saddles of other brands must be evaluated by Tim on a case by case basis. The value of the saddle to us is determined by its sale-ability, the market for used saddles, and whether an agreed trade in value can be negotiated.
